Cindy Wilkinson has a degree in Early Childhood Education and Sociology from the University of Nebraska/Kearney. She has combined all of her loves into a truly unique and funky career as a nanny, musician, and music teacher. In 2000, Ms Wilkinson released her first CD, Jumpin' Up to the Moon, and in 2003 she released her second CD, Jumpin' On Down the Road. Her newest CD, Jumpin' Into Dreamland, will be released in 2010. In 1998, Ms Wilkinson was named the Nanny of the Year by the International Nanny Association. She has also served as a member of the INA's board of directors, as a nanny mentor, and as a writer for the organization's publication, INAVision. Besides her work in the nanny industry, she has performed for audiences across the country as a folk musician playing such instruments as the hammered dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, piano, and djembe. Her experience as an educator includes teaching with the Denver Center Performing Arts, Swallow Hill Music School (Denver), Stanley British Primary School (Denver), Berkeley Ballet Theatre (Berkeley, CA), assisting with the development of the "little bears" music program for the Blue Bear School of Music in San Francisco, working with elementary aged students as an artist-in-residence, teaching with countless pre-schools in Colorado, Connecticut, and California, as well as presenting at nanny and educator conferences across the country including the International Nanny Association, Nannypalooza, and the New England Association for the Education of Children. In 2009, she began her music education blog for parents, educators, and nannies called Jumpin' With Cindy Music Blog.
